Hire It Out, LLC (HireItOut) was created as a place to connect homeowners and contractors. We understand that protecting your privacy and the personal information you disclose is extremely important. We take this very seriously-your privacy is our priority. Please read the following to learn more about our privacy policy.

This policy applies only to information collected at HireItOut.com and does not cover third parties that HireItOut does not control or own, or individuals and companies that HireItOut does not employ. By visiting HireItOut.com, you are accepting the practices and guidelines stated in this Privacy Policy.

We will not sell, share, or rent your personal information to any third party or use your e-mail address for unsolicited mail. Any emails sent by this Company will only be in connection with the provision of agreed services and products.

INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE

In order to sign up for HireItOut we require a few specific pieces of information. This information is necessary for your experience at HireItOut.com. This information also may also be used in your user profile.

Our goal is to create a setting where homeowners and contractors can easily facilitate transactions, and the information we collect is consistent with that goal.

1. Information Collected Upon Sign Up (All Registrations)

During the HireItOut sign up process we require 3 pieces of information:

a. Name - Your name will be visible only to registered Contractors at HireItOut. Our goal is to allow for transparency and accountability of both contractors and homeowners. If you have any concern with this, please email us.

b. Password - When you first create your password on HireItOut, it's encrypted and then securely and privately stored away in our database. This process ensures that you are the only individual with access to your password, and therefore your HireItOut account. Because it's encrypted, even we can't see your password.

c. Your Email Address - We require that you submit a valid email address during the sign up process. This requirement is set in place for security purposes and to help us better communicate with you. HireItOut may contact you with important site updates, news, information about products and services associated with HireItOut, and notifications. These notifications can be turned off by accessing the settings tab within your user profile. HireItOut may still contact you to inform you of updates that we consider necessary. We understand that your email address is personally identifiable information and therefore promise to protect this information to the best of our abilities.

2. Additional Information

After completing the sign up process and validating your email address, you will be asked to create your HireItOut account.

This process will ask information that will be displayed in your user profile. For Contractors, it is required that you disclose the following:

a.  Company Name
b.  Location - Business location
c.  Year Established
d.  Typical Project Cost
e.  Area(s) of Expertise

This is information that other users may find important when requesting or accepting your bid. You also have the option to include more information in your profile such as project photos, company logos, licenses, insurance, BBB documents and other pertinent certificates. Any optional information you disclose in your profile is at your discretion. Remember, the information contained in your HireItOut profile will be available to all other users of HireItOut, including other contractors.

3. Log Data

When you visit HireItOut.com, we automatically record information referred to as "Log Data". This Log Data is collected for all HireItOut users and includes information such as your IP address, browser type, the search terms you use, and other similar pieces of information. We use Log Data to help measure site analytics and learn how our users interact with our website. Understanding the behavior of our users allows us to continuously improve HireItOut and deliver a more unique and beneficial user experience.

Like many other websites, we may also store a cookie on your computer to collect additional information and statistics about your usage on HireItOut.com. This cookie cannot be used to provide more information about your identity, unless you explicitly provide that information to us or your web browser automatically provides that information. This cookie allows HireItOut to recognize you on each visit and automatically signs you in without having to manually enter your username and password.

4. Data Use

As our site continues to accumulate data, we may provide certain third parties such as, but not limited to, advertisers, media outlets, and research institutions with statistics and relevant data that we have collected. This data will not contain any personally identifiable information without first obtaining your authorization to include it, except as specifically described in this policy.

We may also choose to utilize certain third parties to perform services including, but not limited to, hosting and maintenance, customer relationship management, marketing and advertising, and analytics. If required, and only if pursuant to binding contractual obligations with the third party to maintain privacy and security, we may share your personally identifiable information in order to utilize these services.

In the event that we are required by Law, or to cooperate with any government agencies, regulations, or any other such organizations, HireItOut may disclose any information we have collected about you. We may also disclose any information in order to enforce or apply our Terms of Use and to protect the rights and safety of our users, company, and employees.

Business Transfer

If at any point HireItOut, LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or other type of sale of assets, it is likely that all data, including your information, may be transferred.
